3-Day Grace Period
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds):
You keep premium access for 3 days while billing retries
Update your payment method to avoid interruption
After 3 days, your account reverts to free tier
No data is lost - you just can’t create new items beyond free limits

Open Questmo and go to Settings
Tap Upgrade to Premium (or Premium Subscription section)
Choose your plan (Monthly or Annual)
Confirm purchase through App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
Premium features activate immediately!

Managing Your Subscription
View Current Plan:
Go to Settings to see your current plan, status, and next billing date.
Cancel Subscription:
Cancel anytime through your device’s store:
iOS: Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Questmo
Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Questmo

Warning Scroll: Cancel through your device’s app store, not inside the Questmo app! This is how Apple and Google process subscription cancellations.
What Happens When You Cancel:
You keep premium access until the end of your current billing period
After that, your account reverts to the free tier
No data is deleted - all your tasks, rewards, and children remain
You simply can’t create new items beyond free tier limits
Expansion pack bonuses (if any) still apply after cancellation
Tip
Power-Up Tip: Cancelling doesn’t delete anything! Your kids’ XP, achievements, and progress are always safe.

Expansion packs are one-time purchases that permanently boost specific limits. They’re perfect if you don’t need full premium but want more capacity in certain areas.

How to Buy Expansion Packs
Open Questmo and go to Settings
Tap Power-Up Packs (or navigate to Expansion Packs)
Browse available packs
Tap Buy on the pack you want
Confirm purchase through App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
Your limits increase immediately!
Note
Quest Note: Each expansion pack can only be purchased once. After buying, it shows as “Owned” in the store.
Circle-Wide Benefits
Both subscriptions and expansion packs benefit your entire family circle:
If any circle member subscribes to premium, everyone in the circle gets premium benefits
If any circle member buys an expansion pack, the bonus applies to the whole circle
Benefits are shared automatically - no extra setup needed
Important
Achievement Unlocked: One purchase benefits the whole family! Whether a parent or co-parent subscribes, every circle member gets the upgrade.
Example Scenario:
Dad subscribes to Premium Monthly ($5.99/month)
Mom (co-parent), and all children automatically get unlimited tasks, rewards, and children
If Dad cancels, Mom can subscribe to keep benefits for everyone
Expansion packs bought by either parent benefit the whole circle
What Happens When Benefits Change
Subscription Expires or Cancels:
Circle reverts to free tier limits
Expansion pack bonuses still apply (they’re permanent)
No data is deleted
Existing tasks, rewards, and children remain accessible
You just can’t create new items beyond your limits
Member Leaves Circle:
The leaving member’s expansion packs no longer benefit the remaining circle
The leaving member keeps their own expansion packs for their next circle
The leaving member’s subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
Auto-renewal is cancelled when leaving — the subscription won’t renew for the old circle

Warning Scroll: Before leaving a circle, you’ll see a Premium Impact warning if you or your circle have active subscriptions or expansion packs. Review this carefully!
Subscriber Leaves the Circle:
If the person who subscribed leaves:
Their subscription stays active until the paid period ends (no early cancellation)
Auto-renewal is cancelled — it won’t charge again for the old circle
The circle keeps premium benefits until the subscription period ends
After expiry, the circle reverts to free tier (plus any expansion packs from remaining members)
The leaving member can subscribe again in their new circle
Subscriber Deletes Their Account:
If the subscribed member deletes their Questmo account:
Their subscription remains active for the circle until the current billing period ends
The subscription does not auto-renew after the period ends
Circle members should check Settings — if no one else is subscribed, the circle will lose premium after the period ends
Another member can subscribe to maintain premium access
Non-Subscriber Leaves:
If a member who didn’t subscribe or buy packs leaves, there is no impact on the circle’s subscription or benefits.
Circle is Dissolved:
When a parent dissolves the circle:
All active subscriptions are cancelled (auto-renewal stops)
Expansion pack purchases are non-refundable
All members lose access immediately

Restore Purchases
If you switch devices, reinstall the app, or your purchases aren’t showing:
Go to Settings
Tap Restore Purchases
Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase
Your subscription and expansion packs will be restored

Warning Scroll: Make sure you’re using the same Apple ID or Google account that made the original purchase! Purchases don’t transfer between different accounts.
Upgrade Prompts
When you reach a free tier limit, Questmo shows a friendly prompt with your options:
“Upgrade to Premium” - goes to the subscription plans screen
“Get Expansion Pack” - shows the relevant pack for your specific limit
“Maybe Later” - dismisses the prompt (you can always upgrade from Settings)

Quest Note: Upgrade prompts are only shown to parents and co-parents, never to children (COPPA compliance).
Near-Limit Warnings
As you approach your limits (80%+ usage), you’ll see helpful reminders:
“You have 2 tasks remaining this week”
“1 reward slot remaining in your catalog”
These are gentle nudges, not blocks - you can still use your remaining capacity!

No purchase prompts for children: Only parents and co-parents see pricing and upgrade options

Q: Can I switch from monthly to annual?
A: Yes! Cancel your monthly subscription through your device’s app store, then subscribe to the annual plan from within Questmo.
Q: Do expansion packs expire?
A: No! Expansion packs are permanent one-time purchases that last forever.
Q: If I subscribe to premium, do I still keep my expansion packs?
A: Yes! Premium gives you unlimited access, and your expansion packs remain active. If you later cancel premium, expansion pack bonuses still apply on top of the free tier.
Q: What happens to my kids’ data if I downgrade?
A: Nothing is deleted! All tasks, rewards, XP, achievements, and children remain. You simply can’t create new items beyond your tier limits.
Q: Can my co-parent buy premium instead of me?
A: Absolutely! Any circle member’s subscription benefits the entire circle. It doesn’t matter who subscribes.
Q: Do task limits reset?
A: Yes! The weekly task creation limit resets every Monday at midnight (UTC).
Q: What does the Reusable Rewards pack do?
A: It unlocks the ability to create rewards that children can claim multiple times. Without this pack (or premium), each reward can only be claimed once and then it’s removed from the catalog.
Q: What does the Recurring Tasks pack do?
A: It lets you schedule tasks to repeat automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Without this pack (or premium), every task must be created manually each time.
Q: Can I add more than one co-parent?
A: Free tier allows 1 co-parent. Each Extra Co-Parent Slots pack adds +1 more co-parent. You can purchase the pack multiple times to stack the benefit. Premium gives you unlimited co-parents.
Q: What happens to my subscription if I leave the circle?
A: Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, but auto-renewal is cancelled. The circle keeps premium benefits until the period ends. Your expansion packs leave with you. You’ll see a Premium Impact warning before leaving.
Q: I see “Premium Active” but I didn’t subscribe. What does that mean?
A: Another member of your circle has an active subscription, and premium benefits are shared circle-wide. If that member leaves or cancels, you’ll need to subscribe yourself.
Q: What happens to subscriptions if the circle is dissolved?
