First Steps
Welcome to Questmo! Getting started is easy. Follow these steps to begin your family’s quest adventure.
Download the App
Questmo is available on both iOS and Android devices:
iOS: Download from the Apple App Store
Android: Download from Google Play Store
Note
Quest Note: Questmo requires iOS 12.0+ or Android 6.0+ and an internet connection for initial setup.
Create Your Account
When you first open Questmo, you’ll see the onboarding screens explaining how the app works.
Step 1: Choose Your Sign-In Method
Questmo offers multiple ways to sign in:
Google Sign-In: Quick sign-in with your Google account
Apple Sign-In: Use your Apple ID (iOS only)
Facebook Sign-In: Connect with your Facebook account
Email Link: Sign in with a magic link sent to your email (no password needed)
Email & Password: Traditional email and password sign-in
Tip
Power-Up Tip: We recommend using Google or Apple Sign-In for the fastest setup and automatic account recovery!
Step 2: Accept Terms
Before creating your account, you’ll need to accept:
Privacy Policy: How we protect your family’s data
Terms of Use: The rules for using Questmo
Both are COPPA compliant to ensure child safety!
Step 3: Choose Your Role
Questmo has different account types:
Parent: Full control - create circles, manage tasks, approve rewards
Co-Parent: Help manage the family circle with permissions set by the parent
Child: Complete tasks, earn XP, claim rewards, and have fun!
Important
Achievement Unlocked: Parents create family circles. Co-Parents and Children join existing circles using a 4-character invite code!
Understanding Account Types
Parent Account
Parents have full control and can:
Create a new family circle
Invite co-parents and children
Create and assign tasks
Set up rewards
Approve reward claims
View analytics dashboard
Manage circle settings
Export family data (GDPR compliant)
Co-Parent Account
Co-Parents help manage the family with permissions including:
Create and assign tasks (if permitted)
Approve task completions
Create rewards (if permitted)
Approve reward claims
View analytics (if permitted)
Note
Quest Note: Parents control which permissions Co-Parents have. Co-Parents need parent approval to join circles.
Child Account
Children have a safe, fun experience:
View assigned tasks in their “Quest Log”
Complete tasks and submit for approval
Earn XP and level up
Claim rewards with earned XP
Unlock achievements
Customize their avatar
Track their progress
Tip
Power-Up Tip: Child accounts use a special secure login system. Parents create child accounts when setting up the family circle!
First Time Login Experience
For Parents:
After signing in, you’ll be prompted to Create a Family Circle
Your circle will be assigned a unique 4-character code (e.g., AB12)
Share this code with family members to invite them
Complete the in-app tutorial to learn all features
For Co-Parents & Children:
After signing in, you’ll be asked for a Circle Code
Enter the 4-character code your parent shared
Wait for parent approval (you’ll see a “Pending Approval” screen)
Once approved, you’ll access the family circle
Complete the role-specific tutorial

Onboarding Tutorial
Questmo includes an interactive tutorial system with:
Step-by-step guidance for each feature
Role-based tutorials (different for Parents, Co-Parents, and Children)
Highlight overlays showing exactly where to tap
Skip option if you prefer to explore on your own
Replay anytime from the Settings menu
Tip
Power-Up Tip: Take the tutorial! It only takes 2-3 minutes and unlocks tips that make Questmo even more fun.
Language Support
Questmo is available in 4 languages:
English (en)
Spanish (es)
Arabic (ar) - with full right-to-left (RTL) support
French (fr)
Change your language anytime from Settings > Language.
Multi-Device Sync
Your Questmo data syncs automatically across all devices:
Use the same sign-in method on multiple devices
Changes appear instantly on all devices
Works on both phones and tablets
Offline changes sync when you reconnect
Tip
Power-Up Tip: Parents can manage tasks from their tablet while kids complete them on their phones - everything stays in sync!
Next Steps
Once you’ve created your account:
Parents: Set up your family circle (see Family Setup)
Co-Parents/Children: Ask your parent for the circle code
